At the completion of a land purchase by Discovery Land Company, we were hired to design the area’s first major golf community to be built from scratch in over 20 years.  The architectural style for the development is a type of Appalachian mountain vernacular but was approached from a more masculine and grand perspective. The project included the design for the entry gate house, the general store which serves as a member’s store and sales center, the main 40,000 square foot clubhouse, the children’s camp, the Lakeside Pavilion, the comfort stations on the course, and even the water tanks.
